The late fashion designer, who committed suicide at age forty after failing to cope with the death of his mother, is the subject of an exhibition that unites fashion and art at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.The London of humble origins, began to call the attention of the press even before graduation. His particular way of understanding fashion, the controversial issues that inspired and a touch a tad macabre, became McQueen's genius deserved, and in life, the admiration of his peers, and lovers of fashion general.Some of his "pieces-plays' most controversial supplements can be found in organic forms, rotten and broken pieces intentionally ... but certainly the most controversial of the protagonist of a jacket the designer drew up for Prince Charles, whose liner McQueen introduced several messages with risque phrases.The exhibition, which will run until next July 31, 2011, celebrates the contributions of the great designer pieces belonging to different stages of his life, from its passage through the Saint Martins School, his work at Givenchy and until his last parade held in February 2010.
